Flood in Pakistan 2022

Now  days Pakistan have a disasters flooding in 80 percent of Pakistan lots It is difficult to assess the damage. Villages after villages will be wiped out. Millions of people will be homeless. They are lying under the open sky. I heard that this was a more damaging flood than the 2005 earthquake.  This flood caused a lot of damage Loss of human lives, standing crops of farmers have been destroyed, people's houses will be destroyed, the current flood has created a new story of destruction and destruction in Pakistan.most effected areas are Blochistan, KPK and south of punjab Rajan pur, Toonsa shreef completely distroy even first time in history Train Operation in Pakistan is completely close for a week people need to rescue people need medicine, food , drinking water, Clothes, Camps.

Our Government exmple of bad governess no one take care of it in emergency basese no one care about dams to save water for future they only care loot money of Pakistan they no need to know How are people suffreing with this difficult time? our media houses like govt pet Thanx to social media they aware us they aware govt they aware world . Now the dramatic visits of politicians and sympathy for flood victims is on the rise, but will they still not learn the lesson?

One of the main reasons for the destruction caused by floods in Swat is the encroachment of the Swat river in the last ten years.  Which could not be eliminated till date despite repeated operations

The worst flood damage in Punjab was in the Sulaiman Ranges.  This destruction is more than the super flood of 2010, while the intensity of the flood was less than that of 2010.  The reason is only one, in 2013, the areas identified by ADB to build flood dams (water bodies) were approved in 2021 and the work has not been done till date.

Due to historic floods in Balochistan, 30 out of 32 districts remained in severe flood condition.  Since the risk of flash flooding is very high in Balochistan, this proposal was also presented in 2010 to install early warning systems on the settlements in the path of flood water in Balochistan. Along with this, school buildings should be constructed in such a way that  In case of flooding, people can take shelter there and have safe enclosures for their animals.  It is different that the situation of corruption in Balochistan is that school buildings were among the first buildings to be destroyed.  There is no sign of the warning system till date.

Apart from urban flooding (municipal incompetence), the main cause of floods in Sindh is the absence of any dam in Punjab, due to which water fills the Indus without any problem.  In such a case, if there are rains in Sindh, the river boils beyond its banks.  Even canals are not enough to divert this water.

Sindh has tried to reduce this damage to some extent by building small dams but it is not very beneficial in front of the scale of flood.  The only solution is to improve flood dams and drainage systems for the riverine districts (Kashmore, Shikarpur, Larkana, Nawabshah etc. and south from Tando Mohammad Khan to Thatta and Badin).  If possible, build new flood drains and put pressure on the federal government to build a large water storage upstream of Sindh to regulate floods.

Now the next challenge after the flood will be a prolonged drought.  Pakistan urgently needs large water storage in Potohar basin or Mianwali upstream otherwise we will continue to watch our own destruction every time.
