Betty Bruno is an Edmonton woman. She and her two-year-old daughter have been reported missing after travelling to Calgary for the mother's post-secondary education.
Calgary Police Service officials say Betty Bruno arrived in Calgary with her daughter Abyanna earlier this month and was scheduled to begin classes.

According to police, 20-year-old Betty Bruno and her two-year-old daughter, Abyanna, travelled from Edmonton to Calgary a week ago in preparation for Bruno to begin post-secondary classes in the city. But since leaving Edmonton, her family has not heard from her.
“Betty and her daughter are believed to have been seen in the Kensington area of Calgary on Saturday, Sept. 10,” said Calgary police. “Police and her family are concerned for their well-being.”

The situation doesn’t meet the threshold for an Amber Alert, though police said they’re working with their partners at the Missing Children Society of Canada to locate Abyanna.
Police describe Bruno as 5’6’’ tall, 103 pounds, with a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes. The child, Abyanna, is described as 3’ tall, 28 pounds, with a slim build, light brown hair and brown eyes.
